European Heritage Days 2026: dates, themes and programme
The European Heritage Days 2026 take place throughout France on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September, preceded by Friday 18 September, which is reserved for school groups as part of the "Levez les yeux !" initiative. This edition puts forward two guiding threads: the heritage of photography, marking the bicentenary of its invention, and heritage at risk, the European theme inviting us to revive, resist and reimagine.
In Boulogne-Billancourt, as across the rest of the Hauts-de-Seine, the event takes the form of self-guided visits, commented tours, workshops, children's activities and exceptional openings. The full programme, site by site, is published on the official platform of the Ministry of Culture, where it can be filtered by location, by opening times and by accessibility criteria.
One piece of advice: check the listings as soon as they go online, as the most sought-after guided tours fill up within days and some require advance registration by email or through a dedicated ticketing service. Elsewhere, admission is free and access is unrestricted.
